About Sketch for Fetch

At Fetch, we believe healing takes more than just medicine—kindness, creativity, and connection matter too! The Sketch for Fetch program brings comfort to ICU animal patients, their families, and our veterinary team through artwork created by elementary and middle school students.

These colorful drawings and encouraging notes are proudly displayed on kennel doors, turning clinical spaces into places filled with warmth and hope. When a pet is ready to go home, their artwork goes with them—not as a reminder of their hospital stay, but as a symbol of the love and strength that supported their healing.

In return, our Fetch doctors visit participating schools to talk with students about veterinary medicine and inspire hands-on interest in STEM. With every sketch and every visit, we’re creating a circle of compassion—where pets feel supported, students feel empowered, and our community grows stronger.

Meet our Founder: Jocelyn Hogan, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Dr. Hogan is a passionate leader who combines her expertise in veterinary medicine with a deep commitment to community impact. As the Chief Medical Officer at Fetch, she is committed to improving the lives of both animals and the people who care for them.

The idea for Sketch for Fetch came from Dr. Hogan’s desire to bring a sense of joy and healing to ICU patients, their families, and the veterinary team. She also saw an opportunity to engage children in the program, giving them a meaningful way to connect with the veterinary field while also encouraging them to support those in their community. As a mother of two young children herself, Dr. Hogan’s goal is for the Sketch for Fetch program to inspire the next generation in a way that encourages them to be compassionate, creative, and excited about veterinary or other STEM-based career paths!
